Afgelopen zaterdag kwamen ruim 500 Nederlanders in traditionele streek- en klederdracht op het Museumplein bijeen voor een historische fotoshoot.

Jimmy maakte een groepsfoto van de mensen uit twintig Nederlandse gemeenschappen die hij voor Between the Sea and the Sky portretteerde: Een ‘ode aan Nederland’, zijn geadopteerde vaderland. Met het Rijksmuseum als decor vormde de fotoshoot de officiële boeklancering van Between the Sea and the Sky. De lancering van afgelopen zaterdag heeft onze wildste verwachtingen overtroffen, wat was het een prachtige ontmoeting van trotse mensen. We willen iedereen die erbij was en ons heeft ondersteund, hartelijk bedanken!

Last Saturday, more than 500 Dutch people in traditional costumes gathered at Museum square in Amsterdam for a historic photo shoot.

Jimmy took a group photo of the people from twenty Dutch communities, portrayed in Between the Sea and the Sky: An ‘homage to the Netherlands’, his adopted homeland. With the national museum as the backdrop, the photo shoot was the official book launch of Between the Sea and the Sky. The launch has exceeded our wildest expectations, what a wonderful gathering of proud beautiful people. We would like to give a big thanks to all who attended and supported us on this wonderful and historic day!
