We’re thrilled to announce Humanity, a gallery retrospective of Jimmy Nelson’s work opening on May 7th at Patricia Low Contemporary in Venice. Located in the vibrant museum district of Dorsoduro—next to Ca’ Rezzonico and across from Palazzo Grassi—the exhibition is a rare opportunity to experience Nelson’s large-scale portraits in one of Europe’s most iconic cultural settings.
Humanity offers an intimate look at Nelson’s artistic journey, celebrating identity, belonging, and the shared essence of our global family. The exhibition highlights his 10 x 8 Series, created using a large-format analog camera that captures every detail with breathtaking precision. These portraits are more than photographs—they are living tributes to cultural diversity and human connection.
Curated by Patricia Low, Humanity will be on view from May 7th to September 6th. The official opening will take place on May 7th from 6 until 8PM in presence of Jimmy. We are looking forward to be seeing you there!
