This summer, Patricia Low Contemporary presents Humanity in the heart of Venice’s Dorsoduro district.

Set against the historic backdrop of the Ca’ Rezzonico and directly facing Palazzo Grassi, the exhibition traces Nelson’s personal and artistic journey through large-scale portraits of Indigenous Peoples around the world.

A poetic tribute to cultural richness, Humanity invites us to reflect on identity, belonging, and the beauty of our shared human experience. At the heart of the show is the monumental 10 x 8 Series, captured with a large-format analogue camera that brings out astonishing detail and emotional depth—blurring the line between photography and painting.
