Art Fair

MIA Photo Fair

19 - 22 March 2026

Milan, Italy

Presented by WILLAS contemporary

In March 2026, Jimmy presents a new body of analogue work at MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas in Milan, in a solo presentation with WILLAS contemporary.

Created with a 10×8 analogue camera and natural light, these photographs reflect Jimmy’s ongoing exploration of humanity, identity, and shared cultural heritage. In a time dominated by AI-generated imagery, his analogue practice becomes an intentional act of slowing down—embracing patience, chance, and human presence. Subtle imperfections, including occasional multiple exposures, are welcomed as part of the process, revealing the quiet beauty of the uncontrollable.

The works were made in close collaboration with communities in The Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Sudan, and Pakistan, grounded in trust and mutual authorship. Rather than preserving tradition as something fixed, the images show culture as living, carried forward through the present.

Milan holds a special place in Jimmy’s journey, following earlier projects such as Humanity at Palazzo Reale and a site-specific installation at Portrait Hotel Milano.

We are proud to present this solo stand with WILLAS contemporary at MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas, from 19–22 March 2026.
