Homage to Humanity
Every image in Homage to Humanity has a story from the stunning Sarchop in the Himalayas of Bhutan, to the icy Tundra in the north of Siberia, home to the unyielding Dolgan reindeer-herders.

Let the images come alive
To accompany the book download the Jimmy Nelson App. Scanning the image with the app will enable you to step into the world behind the image, through your smartphone. Jimmy himself combined with beautiful video material will guide you through breathtaking footage, but above all uncovers the beauty of day-to-day life from all over the world. Be transported to the extraordinary world of Jimmy’s travels through the VR gallery in the app, using the VR goggles which are provided with the book.
I take pictures. I make images. Unlike film, which overwhelms you with movement and sound, defining the ongoing moment, a photograph just sits there quietly while you decide what it is saying.
I strongly believe that artists must always be part of a conversation, and share provocative ideas. My idea is that of aesthetic and empowerment for a better world. I hope that with my work, remote, indigenous people get a better sense of their uniqueness and importance in the world we all live in, which will support them to be more resilient to the pressures around them.
This personal artistic documentation is a way of re-igniting the fire and pride for indigenous people, of creating mutual respect for all people, and of empowering future generations all over the world to illuminate their cultural heritage.
A platform for Indigenous peoples

Looking for a beautiful book stand?
To celebrate the launch of Between the Sea and the Sky we made a unique book stand in collaboration with Look a Book.
This new product will enable you to view our book wherever you place it in your room. We are proud to have kept it close to ‘home’ as Look a Book is a small company based in Volendam, one of our proud communities represented in the new book. It goes without saying that it will carry all of our books with elegant dignity.
