After three years as a Rheingalerie Bonn, they opened the WERKHALLEN in Remagen-Oberwinter in June 2013. The spacious halls of this former industrial building offer the perfect setting to present the entire gallery program in a permanent group show and to organize parallel exchange exhibitions - contemporary in the middle of the picturesque landscape.
The WERKHALLEN represent the position of international contemporary art with the focus on photography, sculpture and painting. In addition to the personalities of the established artists, younger artists are also shown, whose development is characterized by exceptional quality at an early stage. Special attention is given to works of art characterized by a distinctive aesthetic, artistic authenticity and the highest technical perfection.
With the WERKHALLEN they want to create not only an extraordinary gallery, but also a cultural institution, which is supported by a dialogical concept. The WERKHALLEN can also be seen as a forum, which brings remarkable works of art to the attention of collectors, art-lovers and artists and invites them to take part in them. Always accompanied by an exclusive event program, an interdisciplinary approach is pursued. In combination with design, music, literature and fashion, WERKHALLEN becomes a unique place for encounters, one of which is to arouse passion for art and to re-ignite it again and again.
